Rohtang Pass , a high mountain road in the Zanskar Range of the Himalaya
located at Indo-Tibetan junction leads to Leh , Ladakh in the state of
Jammu and Kashmir.
Like the Sonamarg and Kargil in Kashmir , Rohtang Pass remain closed in
winter from December to April due to heavy snow up to 30ft of powder.
during summer , this road will open , and a popular route for
Royal Enfield bikers to ride from Manali to Leh , Ladakh .

traffic congestion due to damaged road during winter , and
narrow road that can accomodate only one vehicle width at some places.
during peak season from June to September , the congestion will be worse
due to more vehicle using the road , sometimes up to 2000 cars per day
as told by my driver.
