    Haridwar is about 280km from Auli , so day 6 is spent only
    for the long journey.
    we started our journey at 7.30am

    if Ladakh is protected by the Siachen Brigade ( click here ) ,
    Joshimath in Uttarakhand is protected by the Ibex Brigade.


    Indo-Tibetan Border Police protects this area.
    Uttarakhand is located at the border between India and Tibet.

    they are still repairing the roads and bridges affected by the flood
    and landslide last year before the coming monsoon starts.
    Due to this , i think it is still risky to travel to Uttarakhand during monsoon
    season ( July to September )

    we reached Rishikesh at around 5.30 pm

    Rishikesh is also popular with river rafting , flying fox across Ganga River
    and bungy jumping


    we reached our hotel in Rishikesh at around 6.30pm after 11 hours
    journey from Auli.
   the hotel is a budget hotel , but good enough for backpackers.
   but if comfort and service is your main concern , then there are many
   better options than this.
   we booked this hotel just because its very cheap , and we're staying for only
   1 night just for transit in Haridwar before catching our train to Delhi
   the next day.
   the rate was Rs1200 per night , and we booked for 2 nights
   (beacause our train is at 11pm next day)
   for AC room that can accomodate 4 people in a room.
   ( Rs1200 per night x2  / 4 = Rs600 per person )
   its very cheap , and located just a walking distance from
   Haridwar Railway Station.
